Figure follows similar amount already invested in its tablet-based Pin Point service
Carphone Warehouse is to spend an additional £10 million on its in-store tablet-based, tariff checker, Pin Point.
The investment matches the figure previously invested in the service which allows customers to match their usage needs to more than 92,000 handset and tariff choices. £3 million has already been spent on training staff on the new service.
The firm says its research shows that more than half its customers still value face-to-face advice, and has remodelled its in-store experience to combine both services.
“We’ve already invested £10 million in rolling Pin Point out across our 770 stores and we are investing a further £10 million to ensure our customers are aware and can benefit from it,” said Graham Stapleton, UK and Ireland chief executive officer Carphone Warehouse.
Mobile News reported last week that the service had rolled out across its entire UK network last year.
