Dealer wins awards from O2 and QMS and signs sponsorship deal with England Rugby player

B2B dealer Active Digital has this month won two industry awards including being named O2 Fixed Partner of the Year for 2011.

The Kent-based O2 Centre of Excellence partner received the award in recognition of its converged sales of mobile and fixed line as well as its customer service.

Active also scooped the Diamond BenchmarQ Award from global assessment and certification firm QMS for customer satisfaction, which is based on client feedback for staff €¨performance, service and product knowledge.

Active Digital managing director Richard Groves (pictured) said: “We are delighted to win both these prestigious awards that reflect the hard work and dedication of our team.

“2012 is already looking to be a very exciting year for us and we are continuing to increase our innovative and diverse product range, which is bringing exceptional results to our clients.”

O2 head of partners Maggie Kennedy added: “O2 were delighted to present this award to Richard Groves at the recent Partner Conference – this is a testament to their hard work and drive to win in the fixed mobile convergence space.”

Active has confirmed it has extended its “multimillion- pound” contract with global pharmaceutical company Sanofi for a further three years.

Active supplies the company with mobile, fixed line, broadband and device management ۬solutions. The relationship first began in 1998.

It has also entered into a two- year sponsorship agreement with England and Saracens Rugby Union player Richard Wigglesworth, which will see Wigglesworth attend Active’s social and business networking events in order to drum up publicity for the company.

It follows a similar agreement Active already has with former British Olympic javelin thrower Steve Backley.

Active and Fibrelink push remote management platform

Richard Groves has launched an enterprise mobile products and solutions platform called ILG Business in conjunction with device management firm Fiberlink.

ILG Business will use Fiberlink’s MaaS360 Cloud-based platform to provide company IT departments with the ability to monitor employees’ own devices, which are used to access company data, remotely.

The platform, which is compatible with the Apple IOS, BlackBerry, Windows Phone and Android operating platforms enables companies to set up devices to access company emails, enforce password protection and selectively wipe sensitive information from handsets remotely.

Active said it is looking for reseller partners to boost sales of the platform.

Fibrelink EMEA managing director Alan Giles said: “Our alliance with ILG represents an important expansion of our strategy and we were impressed by their focus on customer service, innovation and their commitment to building a successful long-term relationship with us.”
