Former Avenir boss leaves Vodafone B2B Platinum Partner after just one year
Andy Tow has left his role as managing director at Excalibur Communications after a year with the Vodafone Platinum Partner, Mobile News can reveal.
The former Avenir Telecom boss joined the Swindon-based dealer as chief commercial officer in October 2014, but left the company at the end of last month. Mobile News understands his departure was by mutual consent, and came as his year-long agreement with the B2B firm came to a close.
Tow told Mobile News “I have thoroughly enjoyed my year with Excalibur and am very proud to leave it poised in such great shape for the future.”
Tow has spent 30 years in the industry, including stints with Data Select, Unique Distribution and Vodafone, but did not disclose what his next step will be.
Mobile News understands that he will not be replaced at Excalibur, as his role as MD was created specifically for him. Excalibur CEO James Phipps will take over all of the responsibilities held by Tow.
