Northern Irish O2 Direct Partner sets out ambitious strategy as it begins to grow staff numbers by a quarter
Barclay Communications has laid out plans to grow turnover by 40 per cent this year to £28 million and increase its mobile base by more than half to 100,000 by 2018.
The Northern Ireland-based O2 Direct Partner reported turnover of £20 million for its financial year ending March 31, 2015 and has amassed a mobile connection base of nearly 60,000 lines.
It is currently in the process of growing its staff numbers by a quarter with the recruitment of 40 new employees to add to the 160-strong workforce across two offices in Belfast and Bellshill, a few miles from Glasgow.
These new roles will be a mix of outbound sales, account management, business development, business support and software development.
Strategy
Barclay MD Britt Megahey (pictured) said: “We are experiencing and expecting incredible growth over the coming months and so we must take the business to the next level to cater for that. We have developed a strong and loyal team over the past 18 years and our new recruits will only further add to that.”
Expansion
To facilitate this growth, Barclay moved into its new office in Scotland last month – double the size of its previous premises at 3,000 square feet. It will also look to open new offices throughout the UK over the coming months as it continues to grow.
Barclay, which is also a Microsoft Certified Partner and was named ‘Best B2B Dealer’ at the Mobile News Awards in March, provides customers with a range of products and services, including mobile, fixed line, MDM, Office 365, M2M and business phone systems.
