O2 wholesaler wins £129 connection deal with Kent-based firm in a deal worth more than £100,000 over the 24 month contract duration

Breathe Telecom has signed building firm Walker Construction – in a deal worth more than £108,000 over two years.

Kent-based Breathe won the contract, worth 129 connections, from Vodafone Platinum Partner Evolve Telecom .

All 129 connections will move across to the O2 network. The= deal includes more than 100 HTC Desire X handsets with the remainder taking the iPhone 5s.

Breathe is also supplying Walker, also based in Kent, with 50 Huawei E5351 mobile Mi-Fi devices for use across its 10 offices and on construction sites. The device enables up to five compatible devices to connect to the internet at the same time. Walker had previously been using 90 broadband dongles.

Breathe Telecom managing director Adam Miller (pictured), formerly sales director at MoCo, said the firm spent three months analysing Walker’s Vodafone usage. It claims to have reduced its billing from £7,000 a month, to £4,500 – amounting to £60,000 in savings over two years.

Monthly spend

Miller said: “By moving them onto O2, we put together a package that would reduce their companywide average monthly spend, saving them £60,000 over two years, which is pretty significant.”

Breathe now has a customer base of 4,000 O2 connections. Millar said two more “major contracts” with unnamed companies that will grow its base by a further 1,020 connections, will be added before the end of Q1.
