First purchase since founder and executive chairman Matthew Riley led a £494 million takeover of the company in October

Daisy Group has acquired unified communications (UC) provider Damovo UK for an undisclosed fee.

Damovo, which is a strategic technology partner of Cisco, Mitel and Microsoft, provides enterprise-focused ICT services and solutions to the public and private sector.

Established in 2001, its portfolio UC and collaboration, enterprise networks and contact centres, as well as cloud and global managed services.

In the UK, Damovo employs around 200 people across its offices in Horsham, Surrey and London. It also has offices in Belgium, Germany, Ireland, Poland and Switzerland. In total, it has a base of 1.2 million customers across 100 countries.

It is Daisy Group’s first purchase since its privatisation in October, which saw a consortium led by founder and executive chairman Matthew Riley (pictured) pay £494 million for it.

“This is the first acquisition we have undertaken since Daisy’s privatisation and enhances our capability in the enterprise space,” said Riley. “With strong vendor relationships and an expert team in place, the business is well positioned for growth under our ownership.

“The converging world of traditional telecoms and IT continues to present exciting opportunities and with a rapidly expanding cloud and managed services division the acquisition of this highly scalable UK business is a clear strategic fit for the Group.”
