Daisy to run World Cup handset sales incentive

Dealers to draw teams, with winner receiving a Sony Xperia Z1 Compact smartphone and wireless charging mat 

Daisy Distribution is to run a handset promotion in conjunction with the FIFA World Cup that will see the winning partner win a Sony smartphone package.

The incentive, which runs from the start of the tournament tomorrow until its end on July 13, sees dealers draw one of the 32 competing teams at random, which then becomes their allocated country.

If their team should reach the quarter or semi-finals, they will be awarded Sony merchandise from accessories to mobile devices, with the overall winner receiving a Sony Xperia Z1 Compact (pictured) and wireless charging mat.

Throughout the four weeks of the tournament, top performing partners will be rewarded with world Cup associated gifts such as replica shirts, BBQ sets and Brazilian-themed hampers, which will be based on handset specific promotional days.

Daisy Distribution marketing director Julien Parven said: “As we continue to grow our handset distribution side of the business, the World Cup offered an ideal opportunity for a bit of fun and to bring some focus to the diversity of handsets we offer.”
