The distributor and Bullitt, who manufactures CAT handsets, first signed an exclusive distribution partnership in June
Data Select has been awarded an extension to its period of exclusivity for the CAT S60 smartphone by Bullitt Group until the end of the year.
The distributor and Bullitt, which is the global license holder for Caterpillar phones and accessories, announced the exclusive partnership in June.
The S60 houses a thermal imaging camera to enable a range of uses, including detecting heat loss around windows and doors; identifying moisture leaks, missing insulation, overheating electrical appliances and circuitry. It is also waterproof to five metres for 60 minutes and drop-proof to 1.8 metres.
Data Select claimed having this technology has seen it target a wide range of B2B customers including building professionals, utility workers and emergency first respondents.
“Having worked tirelessly with the team at Bullitt to introduce and gain traction for the Cat S60 over the previous quarter, we are delighted to see our period of exclusivity extended,” said MD Fergal Donovan.
“Strong demand for this unique device is coming from many different sectors and we will continue to work closely with our customers to provide all the tools needed to really drive this through to their end consumers.”
