Latest partnership is the latest development in distribution deal struck with HTC earlier this year
Data Select has been appointed by HTC as the exclusive UK distribution launch partner for its new One A9s smartphone.
The device (pictured), which was announced last month, is now available to pre-order from Data Select and will be available early next month.
Data Select first announced its distribution agreement with HTC at its Platinum Club conference in March.
Specs
The metal One A9s is powered by an octo-core processor and runs Android 6.0, housing a five-inch HD screen made from Corning Gorilla Glass.
It has a 13 megapixel autofocus rear camera with LED flash that comes with a BSI Sensor to capture low light details, and a five megapixel front snapper with voice recognition.
A fingerprint sensor can also be used to unlock protected apps locked with HTC Boost+, a suite of tools designed to maximise the smartphone’s security, privacy and performance.
This allocates resources as needed, which reduces unnecessary power consumption of background apps. It also clears temporary files and provides users with reminders about apps they haven’t used.
Exciting opportunity
Data Select managing director Fergal Donovan said: “Having partnered with HTC since Q1 this year, we have worked relentlessly to build the UK channel for its smartphone portfolio and their latest addition to the One family represents an exciting opportunity for our customers.
“We will work closely with them to provide all the tools needed to really drive this through to their end customers.”
HTC Europe president Greig Williams said he was excited by the “potential in our joint ambitions to drive targeted sales growth.”
