Micro P parent company DCC SerCom to announce rebranding plans affecting its IT, Communications and Home Entertainment distribution business arms
IT and mobile distributor Micro P is to be rebranded in October, its parent company DCC SerCom has revealed.
DCC SerCom, the IT, communications and home entertainment business arm of DCC, will unveil plans, including the new name officially tomorrow.
The move is part of a wider restructure, to help the firm boost market share and increase profitability.
In addition to Micro P, the firms UK hardware and software distribution business Gem, will also be rebranded.
DCC SerCom’s other UK and international distribution arms, Sharptext, Banque Magnetique (France), Com Trade (France) and Advent Data are all rumoured to be included in the plans.
DDC SerCom said in a statement: “We are operating in a constantly changing environment where innovation is driving a continuously evolving range of IT, communications and home entertainment products.
“We have ambitious growth targets and in order to achieve those targets it is necessary to ensure that we have the appropriate infrastructure and management structure.
“It is in this context that we are embarking on a rebranding exercise to be launched in October, as set out in my earlier announcement, and are investing in our IT and logistics capabilities to provide the platform to enable us to continue to grow our market share supported by best in class systems and warehousing.”
