Catalogue retail giant will feature four devices from Swedish manufacturer in its upcoming Autumn/Winter 2016 catalogue
Doro has revealed two new devices that are set to be sold through Argos, taking the numbers of handsets featuring in the retailers next catalogue to four.
Argos is the first UK SIM-free retailer to stock the new Doro 6520 feature phone. The 3G flip-phone comes with a 2.8-inch screen, plus online features including email, Facebook, Twitter and a web browser. It costs £79.99 and is available in graphite/white.
The retailer will also stock the new Doro 5030, which has adjustable fonts, volume and tone controls, and a candy-bar design. It costs £29.95 and will also be available in graphite and white.
Doro UK and Ireland MD Chris Millington said: “Argos is a highly successful and sophisticated retail business and I am thrilled we are launching our 6520 handset in the UK with them.
“Argos is a brilliant place to buy a SIM-free phone. The company’s value-added services such as same day and bookable delivery slots make it perfectly flexible for customers. We now have a full page in the new Argos catalogue and our relationship with them is our most valuable within the SIM-free space.”
The two new devices join two already listed handsets from Swedish manufacturer, which is known for targeting the over-65s market. These are the Liberto 820 Mini smartphone, which runs on Android and costs £99.99, and the Doro 6030. This clamshell runs on 2G and costs £49.95.
Argos buying manager for mobile phones Nick Clarke added: “We are pleased to have continued and grown our relationship with Doro as our handset partner of choice for the hugely important retiree market. This increased range will drive incremental business for us as it gives our shoppers further added-value when they chose a Doro.”
