The Austrian-based vendor launched in the UK and Ireland earlier this year
Emporia Telecom has announced a partnership with electronics e-tailer Maplin.
Under the collaboration, Emporia’s phones and home telecoms products will be listed on the Maplin site – with the Austria-based vendor specialising in devices for those aged 65 and over.
The latest tie-up continues Emporia’s expansion into the UK and Ireland, since it launched in those markets at the start of this year.
Emporia senior national account manager Tim Berry said: “Maplin has a very diverse and broad customer base – and at a time when consumers are increasingly looking to make purchases online, it is important that we are listed with such a recognised and respected brand.”
Emporia initially launched in the UK and Ireland through Amazon and distribution partner Eurostar Global.
It has since added a number of other partners, including Scotts & Co, Hearing Direct, Mobile Phones Direct and Laptops Direct.
The firm’s UK and Ireland managing director Chris Millington added: “With more retail listings like these, we can reach even more potential customers through local and national sites – and also membership organisations that they are familiar with and trust.
“Maplin has been around for a long time. Even though it is now online, it is trusted by the older demographic, who remember the extensive national retail footprint.”
