Money will be used to fund development of a Kindergarten Centre of Excellence in Ghana
Exertis raised £8,615 for TechAid at a charity ball last week, taking its total money raised to more than £60,000, which will be used to fund development of a Kindergarten Centre of Excellence in Ghana.
With the support of vendors and the local public, the distributor raised the money through a raffle and silent auction held during the ball at the Hampshire Court Hotel in Basingstoke last week.
Dell was headline sponsor for the event, but other vendors who attended included Samsung, Acer, Linx, Microsoft Mobile, Ricoh, OKI, Epson, Intel, AOC / Philips and Tullow Oil.

The funds, raised in partnership with TechAid and the Sabre Trust, will be used to fund the OLA Kindergarten Centre of Excellence in Cape Coast, Ghana, which opened in September.
Later this month, the distributor will send a group of twelve channel members from vendors and resellers out to Ghana to complete a playground at the centre.

Woodman said: “This is an extremely worthwhile cause and we would like to thank our technology sponsors, supporters and members of the local community for their contribution. It’s great that the volunteers have the opportunity to see, and participate in, the work at first hand.”
