Retailer brings in new commercial and retail directors, as well as adding to its growing B2B team
Fonehouse has bolstered its senior team with the appointment of a new commercial director, as well as a new retail and operations director.
Mark Noonan has come in as commercial director, replacing Daniel Schama, who left the retailer last month after over five years.
Noonan held the same position at Zavvi and Virgin Megastores. He will manage Fonehouse’s commercial relationships with the networks, its eCommerce offering, logistics and procurement and marketing activity.
Mike Moss has been appointed as retail director. He has held senior roles at Sainsbury’s, Virgin, Zavvi and Asda, and most recently Specsavers, where he managed over 70 franchisees.
Fonehouse has also added to its B2B team with the appointment of Paul Spooner as business account manager.
The new arrivals come following the appointment of former head of Virgin Megastores and Zavvi Simon Douglas as CEO in November, with the retailer’s then managing director Clive Bayley moving to the position of group chairman.
Last month Fonehouse opened an office in Stoke-on-Trent, working solely within its B2B division. Fonehouse chairman Clive Bayley told Mobile News in December that the retailer was looking to almost double headcount there to 10 people as its B2B operations gain in popularity.
