EE principal partner also takes on six new business account managers as part of its expansion plans this year

Mobile dealer General Communications has rebranded and completed a move to purpose-built offices in Ty Glas Llanishen, Wales, as part of its 2013 expansion plans.

The EE principal partner switched to the new offices, just 1.5 miles from its previous premises, at the end of last month.

It has taken on six new business account managers and plans to continue this recruitment drive throughout 2013.

General Communications new business development manager Chris Hamblin added the firm’s increased sales in tablets and smartphones have come as a direct result of Cardiff being selected as one of the 10 launch cities for EE 4G.

“We are very much looking forward to completing the picture with the introduction of 4G on Vodafone and O2,” Hamblin said.

Managing director Andrew Comrie said: “The days of corner shop walls covered in slatted boards full of cheap accessories have gone.

“The more discerning customer, CEOs etc, are now looking for mobile phone companies that mirror the new age, high-tech mobile phone industry, and we believe that General Communications portrays that image perfectly.”
