The MVNO reported sales of refurbished handsets was up 77pc YoY during Black Friday 2021
Giffgaff claims that consumers are becoming more sustainable as the MVNO reported strong growth last year.
Data from Giffgaff revealed double digit year-on-year growth in refurbished phone sales between 2019 and 2020 and 2020 and 2021.
The company also revealed that key consumer spending periods such as Black Friday have highlighted this growth.
Sales of refurbished phones through Giffgaff during Black Friday 2021 were up 77 per cent from the year before.
Giffgaff provides ‘like-new’ refurbished devices for consumers, which have a minimum 80 per cent battery life and come with a standard 12-month warranty.
The MVNO is currently running a winter promo deal on a range of phones including the iPhone 12 and Samsung Galaxy S21.
