He will report directly to CEO Florian Seiche as the company develops its growth strategy for the full portfolio of devices and services
HMD Global has announced Lars Silberbauer as its new chief marketing officer (CMO).
Silberbauer will lead HMD Global’s marketing efforts across the portfolio of Nokia phones, tablets and accessories-including the new circular smartphone subscription service.
He will also lead marketing efforts across HMD Global consumer and enterprise services.
His previous roles include leading the brand, marketing and digital teams at International Olympic Committee, a global senior director at LEGO and he was an SVP of MTV digital studios.
Silberbauer said: “We have just launched a revolutionary new subscription service that aims to change the way we look at phone ownership and the most eco-friendly phones that we have ever created.
“I look forward to working closely with the marketing team to continue to drive digital transformation in our marketing operations as we aim to become an impactful digital leader and connect the world without costing the earth.”
