Compact version in the manufacturer’s smartphone range now available from Phones 4u, EE and O2, with Carphone and Three to follow in the coming days
The HTC One Mini 2, the latest addition to the company’s smartphone portfolio, has gone on sale in the UK.
It is currently on sale at Phones 4u, EE and O2, with Carphone Warehouse and Three to follow in the coming days.
The device is free on contract at Phones 4u, EE and O2. At Phones 4u, a Vodafone tariff offers 300 minutes, unlimited texts and 250MB of data for £25 per month. O2’s Refresh tariff provides 500 minutes, unlimited texts and 500MB of data for £28 per month while EE is offering it for £29.99 per month with 1,000 minutes, unlimited texts and 1GB of data.
The device, which was first unveiled earlier this month, is the successor to last year’s HTC One mini – the first scaled down version of its flagship series of handsets. Despite its ‘mini’ status, the new device is still larger than some competitor devices, such as the iPhone.
The One Mini 2 is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor and runs the Android KitKat 4.4.2 OS, with HTC’s own Sense 6 UI sitting on top of that. Also featured is a 4.5-inch HD touchscreen, 13-megapixel rear and five-megapixel front cameras, 16GB of storage and a 2,100 mAh battery.
