HTC unveils U11+ and U11 Life smartphones

Prepaid the U11+ is available for £699 and U11 Life is £349 from HTC website

HTC has taken the wraps off the U11+ and U11 Life, both smartphones are available now to pre-order on the official HTC website.

The U11+ (above) is available on prepaid for £699 on November 20 in black, and the U11 Life is available for £349 from November 2, in black and blue. Retailers and operator ranging is to be confirmed.

U11+ 

The U11+ differs from the U11 with a display 0.5 inches larger screen at 6-inches and battery capacity at 3,390mAh. The larger flagship also sees its water and dust resistance rating bump up to IP68. It weighs 188g with dimensions measuring at 158.5 x 74.9 x 8.5 mm.

Powering the device is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 with 4GB RAM and 64GB of storage or 6GB RAM/128GB of storage. MicroSD support adds storage expansion up to 2TB (card not included). The U11+ runs Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box.

Primary snapper is 12MP with an 85 degree field of view, phase detection autofocus, OIS, dual-LED (dual tone) flash and full HD 1080p video recording.

Other features include: USB-Type-C, fingerprint sensor.

U11 Life

The U11 Life is a mid-range smartphone powered by the new octa-core Snapdragon 630processor, with 3GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage. Alternatively consumers can opt for 4GB of RAM and 64GB internal memory. Both will support microSD cards to expand storage up to 2TB.

It also features edge sense like the U11 and U11+, where users can squeeze the edges to launch apps and simple tasks.

Other features include: 16MP front camera, 2,600mAh battery, QuickCharge 3.0, USB 2.0, Type-C, fingerprint sensor.
