Apple unveiled the new mid-tier device at an event in California on March 21

Pricing for the iPhone SE has been confirmed by UK networks and retailers. It is available to preorder now, with general sale starting March 31.

Apple launched the new mid-tier phone, alongside a smaller 9.7-inch iPad Pro and updated Apple Watch, in California on March 21. The manufacturer claims the handset is the most powerful 4-inch device available. It comes with the same 64 bit A9 chip featured in the iPhone 6s, as well as a 12MP rear camera and Apple Pay support.

Prices for the 16GB version from EE start from £27.49 (£49.99 upfront cost). This tariff comes with 500MB of data, 500 minutes and unlimited texts. The most expensive option costs £44.99 per month for 20GB of data, unlimited minutes and unlimited texts.

Vodafone has both the 16GB and 64GB versions. Customers can get either the 16GB or 64GB versions respectively for £34 per month and £40 per month, both with a £9 upfront cost. This comes with unlimited texts, unlimited minutes and 2GB of data.

Pricing from Carphone Warehouse also starts from £17.49 on EE (£199.99 upfront). This comes with 500 minutes, unlimited texts and 500MB of data. Alternatively, you can get the device on Vodafone with unlimited texts, unlimited minutes and 3GB of data for £26 per month (£59.99 upfront). Another stockist includes giffgaff, with SIM-free prices for the 16GB and 64GB starting respectively at £359 and £439.
