The firm bought EE partner Voice Mobile and DV02 for undisclosed fees

Daisy Group has pledged to maintain its momentum and continue its buying spree in the wake of back-to-back acquisitions last week.

The firm bought EE partner Voice Mobile and DV02 for undisclosed fees. As part of the Voice Mobile acquisition, Daisy has opened an EE centre of excellence to support internal teams and partners with EE mobile accounts. Buying DV02 has bolstered Daisy’s skillset in Mitel solutions.

Voice Mobile MD Ian Watson and DV02 owner Vince Potter and some executive members of staff have departed from their respective businesses.

All 47 Voice Mobile and 12 DV02 members of staff will be kept on and integrated into the business, bringing the total to 3,700 across Daisy Group. Nationwide locations have increased from 30 to 35 in the year.

The group recorded £700 million in revenue for its 2017 fiscal year ending April 30. Daisy Group SMB services managing director Dave McGinn did not comment on a target or disclose current mobile connection total.

The company partners with BT, EE, O2, Vodafone, Mitel and Cisco to name a few. In May, it acquired 80,000 B2B clients from TalkTalk for £175 million.

McGinn told Mobile News: “We are absolutely an acquisitive company. Our strategy is about how we support our partners to grow, that to us is most important, to give them more capability.

“If we haven’t acquired another business, trained up partners or upped sales by the end of this year, then we will have failed.

“The businesses we have acquired have strong pedigrees in mobile and it’s an area we will happily strengthen. We need to ensure we maintain the success for Daisy and our partners in every aspect of our business.”
