“Price Crash” offer will let customers name their price on up to 70 products – but only if they buy before other customers
O2 will launch a “Price Crash” special offer on Black Friday that could see up to 70 products sold for as little as £1.
As part of the offer, O2 will progressively lower the price of devices throughout the day, with customers able to stop the crash whenever they hit a price they are willing to pay.
If customers are first to stop the crash on their selected item, O2 will send them the piece of technology with free delivery.
The operator is holding 20 crashes with three products from 9PM on Thursday (November 28), but customers will only be allowed to purchase one item.
“This Black Friday we’re giving customers some great deals on tech including, for the first time, the opportunity to set their price through Price Crash, our playful innovation in online shopping,” said O2’s marketing and consumer director Nina Bibby.
“Our deals and discounts offer the perfect opportunity to keep up to date with all the latest technology, from smart phones to smart watches.”
Black Friday is the US tradition that sees retailers slash prices across a range of items ahead of Christmas.
O2 is also offering savings of up to 50 per cent on a range of smartphones, tablets, wearables and accessories, including pay monthly deals on the HTC One M9 (saving of £120), Samsung Galaxy S6 edge 128GB (£120 saving), and the iPad Air 2 (saving of £104.99)
