Vodafone Platinum partner Onecom has appointed unified comms veteran Simon Yarwood as its new finance director.
He replaces former Vodafone finance chief Richard Schafer, who was last month promoted to the role of Onecom’s managing director following an 18-month stint as chief financial officer.
Yarwood (pictured) joins from unified communications provider 4Com, where he spent more than a decade in a number of senior financial roles, including financial controller, finance director and finally group finance director for more than four years.
Onecom CEO Darren Ridge said: “Simon was the outstanding candidate due to his vast experience in the unified comms space, particularly in the fixed line market, over the past 10 years. His appointment was a no-brainer.”
Yarwood’s recruitment is the latest in a number of internal changes to take place at Hampshire-headquartered Onecom over recent weeks, which it said forms a platform to enable it to achieve its aim of increasing turnover by a third to £100 million in 2016.
Schafer took over the daily running of the business from Ridge. Former Ingram Micro service delivery manager Helen Myers, who had been Onecom head of operations since April 2014, has been named operations director.
