Four robbers stole 160 iPhone 6s handsets from the Carphone store

A Carphone Warehouse store (pictured) in Surrey lost over £80,000 worth of handsets after robbers raided it on Nov 25.

Four masked robbers entered the Carphone Warehouse store in Oakdene Parade, Cobham at around 17:25. The robbers, who were unarmed, forced two members of staff to hand over their own handsets before locking them in the staff toilets. No customers were in the store during the incident.

They then stole 160 iPhone 6s handsets, worth a total of at least £80,000, and exited through the store’s rear exit. The four men then made their escape in an unidentified vehicle parked in a nearby Waitrose car park.

There were no casualties as a result of the robbery.

This is the latest of a string of Carphone Warehouse robberies this year alone, with other incidents happening in Epping, Caterham, Farnham, Little Chalfont, Northampton, Derby and Greater Manchester.

Surrey Police have searched the area, but there are currently no leads on any suspects. Investigations are ongoing.

Witnesses or anyone with information relating to the crime can contact Surrey Police on 101, quoting incident reference P15303456.
