Glasgow is seen by the business as the Scottish hub for IoT

Pangea Connected has opened a new office in Glasgow to accommodate the 33 per cent growth of the team.

The office is Pangea’s second overall, adding to the one in Kingston, where the IoT connectivity provider is based.

Pangea’s Glasgow office is located in the East Kilbride area of the city at 1 Redrow Crescent and is three times the size of the previous Glasgow office, the company claims.

Glasgow was the first Scottish city to offer IoT connectivity to local businesses and is seen as a thriving hub for IoT. Its digital tech sector boasts close to 34,000 jobs and turns over more than a £1bn.

“Having a foot in Glasgow will help us stand shoulder to shoulder with our partners and give them even better support,” said Pangea sales director Bernie McPhillips (pictured).

“The great thing about our growth is that it directly translates into growth for our partners. With our operations and sales teams receiving a timely shot in the arm, we can keep bringing you new intelligent mobile connectivity and 5G products, so you can future-proof your business and carve out a slice of the growing wireless market.”

Pangea recently launched its PSTN sales planner tool to support its partners in helping to plan replacement services, ahead of the PSTN switch-off.

The firm has also boosted its team with six new recruits in recent months, notably IoT experts Emma Pazgrat and David Mitchell.
