Handset that was launched yesterday already being sold at a discounted price by two retailers
Phones 4u and O2 have began selling the Moto E at the discounted rate of £79.99, £10 under the RRP.
The device was announced at events around the globe, including one in London, yesterday and is now on sale online and in-store at both retailers.
The device already slots in at the bottom end of the smartphone range in terms of pricing, but offers specs that are more akin to the mid-market. It has a 4.3 inch display and runs on the the latest Android 4.2.2 KitKat OS. Other features include a 5MP camera, a 1980 mAh battery and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor with 1.4GHz dual-core CPUs.
Phones 4u also say the 4G version of the Moto G will be available soon from the retailer.
The phone is not listed on Vodafone’s website but it is expected to be available from the operator.
