The dealer is on the lookout to more than double headcount in the next year
Fareham-based dealer Prestige Telecom is moving offices as it embarks on a recruitment
drive.
The Plan.com partner is relocating back to Gosport, where it was founded in 2014 by Andrew Rodgers and Sean Rhodes.
The move, expected to be completed by the end of August, is aimed at helping the dealer
more than double its headcount from 30 now – with plans to boost the workforce by another 50 within the next 12 months.
Prestige Telecom manages just short of 10,000 customers, with Rodgers saying the office move will enable the company to grow this number and double monthly connections to nearer 1,000.
“We’ve got to a point now where we have outgrown the office and needed something bigger to match our growth ambitions,” he said.
Rodgers added that the decision to return to Gosport was partly influenced by competitor
Aerial Direct’s decision to move out of the area.
“The decision has been influenced by Aerial moving out of town in the last year or so, which left a gap in the market.”
The new office spans three floors and measures 5,500 square foot, with the larger size
compared with its current office matching its growth ambitions.
Rodgers said that Prestige is aiming to double its monthly connections. “We’re currently bringing in around 400 to 450 new connections per month, but in the next six to nine months we want to up connections to around 750 to 1,000,” he says.
