Samsung’s Galaxy SIII handset helps manufacturer pass 100 million landmark
Globals sales of Samsung’s range of Galaxy handsets have now passed one 100 million, the manufacturer has confirmed.
The firm announced today (January 14) it has now sold more than 24 million Galaxy S handsets since June 2010, 40 million Galaxy SII’s since April 2011 and 40 million Galaxy SIII’s since May last year.
The handsets helped the Korean firm establish itself as the world’s leading handset manufacturer with a 29 per cent share in 2012 – ending Nokia’s 14 year reign at the top.
