Dido Harding has revealed the individual or group claiming to be behind the cyber attack on it has contacted her looking for money
TalkTalk chief executive Dido Harding has received an email demanding a ransom from the individual or group claiming to be behind the cyber attack on the company.
In an interview with the BBC, Harding (pictured) said she had “personally received contact” from someone purporting to be the hacker looking for money.
“We have been contacted – I don’t know whether it is an individual or a group – purporting to be the hacker, but I can’t say much more than that,” she said.
However, when pressed further, Harding revealed: “Its’s a live criminal investigation and all I can say is that I had personally received contact from someone purporting – as I say I don’t know whether they are or not – to be the hacker looking for money.”
