The distributor will be stocking the US manufacturer’s Extreme Shell and SnapShell cases
Tech Data has signed an exclusive deal with MAXCases, becoming the first UK distributor of its Chromebook, tablet and notebook cases.
The products are designed primarily for the educational sector and the Basingstoke-based company claims each offers ‘superior performance and style’ compared to similar products.
Models being sold by Tech Data include the Extreme Shell and SnapShell ranges, with prices varying from £22 and £29.
The Extreme Shell range is made up of two layers to provide extra protection from drop impacts. It is the first case to have a skin of thermoplastic polyurethane, which Tech Data claims will help provide better impact protection compared to standard cases. Other features include pop-up feet to prop the enclosed tablet up.
Tech Data category manager for accessories Simon Hughes said: “The MAXCases range gives retailers and resellers something different and distinctive to offer customers.
“They have been designed from the ground-up on the basis of direct input from users and administrators, and that really shows. Small touches like the recessed area for asset tags are genuinely useful and make a tremendous difference for the customer.”
