Range of smartphones and tablets from Spanish firm on sale in UK and Ireland through Basingstoke-based distributor
Tech Data Mobile has been appointed as a distributor for Spanish smartphone-maker BQ, bringing its range of smartphones and tablets to the UK and Irish market.
The Basingstoke firm will open BQ’s products up to UK resellers as part of the distribution agreement,
BQ first launched in the UK earlier this year when it launched Aquaris E4.5 Ubuntu Edition, the world’s first smartphone to use the Ubuntu operating system.
Tech Data Mobile MD Matt Child claimed the arrival of BQ in the UK is a significant development for resellers.
“BQ is an incredible success story and a real pioneer in the Spanish and European markets,” he added. “Its smartphones and tablets offer high performance, excellent features and amazing affordability. We believe they will be an instant hit in the UK and we look forward to working with BQ to emulate the success it has seen in other markets here in the UK.”
The manufacturer is based in the Navarra district of Spain. It also sells devices in Portugal, Germany and France, plus China.
Its range of products also includes tablets, accessories and 3D printers.
