Mobile Account Solutions second and Activ8 41st in list measuring the fastest growing private companies by sales in Britain
Two mobile companies have featured in the 17th annual Sunday Times Virgin Fast Track 100.
The list, which ranks Britain’s fastest growing private companies by sales, was published in the weekly newspaper on December 8.
Hertfordshire-based telecoms provider Mobile Account Solutions moved up one place from last year’s list to second. It had sales of £79.147 million in the 12 months to March, representing growth of 254.06 per cent over the past three years.
Mobile accessories distributor Activ8, which is also located in Hertfordshire, ranked in 41st position, down from 11th in last year’s list. It had sales of £10.993 million in the 12 month to July, representing growth of 79.31 per cent over the past three years.
Activ8 founder Stuart Conroy (pictured) said: “Two years ago we realised that China was becoming more accessible so we needed to work on our brands to make them stand out from standard products. Despite a huge transition in our business model we have been able to add £3m revenue but we have been more intent on laying foundations for more solid growth for the future.
“We have a whole range of new developments designed to ensure we maintain our growth including opening our own stores. We appreciate it’s not easy for the high street stores to take a risk with new brands in these tough times, so we see opening our own stores as a natural way to champion the brands we develop and work with.”
