Virgin Media O2 will offer more than 100 apprenticeship opportunities this year, with starting salaries of at least £22,500 and some roles paying up to £35,000.
The schemes are open to applicants of all ages and are offered as permanent positions, providing job security once the fully funded training is complete. Roles will be available across the UK, including in London, Reading, and Manchester, throughout the year.
No CVs or prior work experience are required for apprenticeship, graduate, or internship roles. Instead, the recruitment process focuses on candidates’ skills, strengths, and motivations, rather than their educational background or work history. In addition to roles that require no previous experience, Virgin Media O2 also offers entry-level positions that require no formal qualifications.
Apprentices will develop and refine their skills, gain recognised qualifications, and start careers that, in some cases, would traditionally require a degree. Opportunities are available across various schemes, including field engineering, where apprentices will work on tasks such as upgrading the network and installing services for customers.
Karen Handley, Head of Future Careers at Virgin Media O2, said:
“We offer competitive salaries of up to £35,000 and run a blind recruitment process to ensure a level playing field for all candidates. Whether you’re a young person who excels in hands-on learning or a career changer looking for something new, our apprenticeships provide the tools and skills needed to build a successful and rewarding career.”
