Llewellyn recently took over as Vodafone’s head of channel strategy
Vodafone’s new head of channel strategy, Joe Llewellyn, has outlined plans to improve relations with the operator’s existing partners.
Llewellyn, who was appointed to the role on November 1, replaces Kathy Quashie, who was in the post for just over two years.
Llewellyn – who has been at Vodafone for nearly 16 years in a variety of roles and will also continue in his role as head of commercial – told Mobile News that the indirect channel is “critical” to Vodafone.
And the new head of channel strategy has set his sights on driving a more open discussion with Vodafone’s partners.
“I want to personally start a new phase of an open dialogue with our partners,” said Llewellyn.
He confirmed that Vodafone is relaunching its partners roundtable, something that the operator did regularly in the past.
“We want to get our partners together and having an open discussion with us on how we can best enable them to unlock the full potential in this market,” he said. “I’m hoping to bring the channel much more into the heart and centre of Vodafone.”
Llewellyn says the operator has a “strong foundation in place” and will look to identify key areas of growth that are most important for its partners.
“Our key focus right now is to identify the areas of growth that are most important for our partners, and that we can demonstrate delivery against those and put our efforts and investments to back up the commitments that we make.”
