Device is the first to use Qualcomm’s new 732G chipset

Xiaomi has unveiled the Poco X3 NFC device, its third Poco device (and its second Poco X device) of 2020.

The device’s release follows that of the Poco X2 at the start of the year, and the Poco F2 Pro this summer.

It has a 6.67-inch LCD screen with an optional 120Hz refresh rate, and also has a 3.5mm headphone jack and side-mounted fingerprint scanner.

It runs MIUI 12 on Android 10 and is the first phone to use Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 732G mid-range chipset. Xiaomi has also included a feature called LiquidCool that is intended to keep the processor’s temperature down when using intensive apps.

The X3 NFC has a 5,160mAh battery, and has a 33W fast-charging cable that comes included with the phone.

On the camera front, the X3 NFC has a quad rear setup, with a 64MP Sony IMX682 main sensor, a 13MP wide-angle lens, a 2MP macro lens, and a 2MP depth sensor. The front camera is a single 20MP sensor; Xiaomi has removed the 2MP depth sensor that featured in the X2.

Additionally, the phone is IP53 rated for water resistance.

The Poco X3 NFC will be available with two variants, 6GB+64GB and 6GB+128GB, in Shadow Grey and Cobalt Blue. Priced at £199 and £249 respectively, it will be available for online purchase from September 17th on mi.com/uk and Amazon.

The 6GB+128GB variant will be available for £229 from September 17 to October 8.
