Ericsson has reaffirmed its commitment to its UK research centre which is working on 6G and next-gen network technologies.

An alliance of mobile operators has called for harmonised international standards for 6G to ensure the next generation of mobile networks evolves seamlessly from 5G without costly infrastructure overhauls.

The A1 Technology Center in Vienna, and Nokia have streamed video over a 6G test network proving that urban capacities can be increased with an existing network.
