Former Ingram Micro Mobility UK and Ireland VP joins Vodafone platinum partner to help grow its IT and telephone systems division
OneCom has appointed former Ingram Micro Mobility UK and Ireland vice president as sales director of its IT and telephone systems division.
He is charged with growing this area of OneCom’s business, which runs alongside its mobile phone services.
Bannister had left hardware distributor by “mutual consent”. He joined BrightPoint, which was acquired by Ingram Micro in October 2012, in April 2008 as sales director. In April 2011, he was promoted to VP for the UK and Ireland, a role that involved managing service, sales, commercial, purchasing and marketing leads.
“I am excited to be joining OneCom and it’s clear that the company and I share the same entrepreneurial spirit,” he said. “It’s a successful and growing business and I’m looking forward to playing my part with its continued growth.
“Excellent customer service is at the heart of everything OneCom does. It’s these values and the opportunity to work in a company that is rapidly expanding that made this role the ideal opportunity for me.”
OneCom managing director Darren Ridge added: “James is highly-respected in the industry and we are delighted to welcome him to OneCom. His vision and experience in sales will be invaluable in taking OneCom’s business services to the next level as we continue to expand our customer base.”
