BT Group to Recruit Over 600 Apprentices and Graduates for 2025 Intake

BT Group will recruit more than 600 apprentices and graduates for its September 2025 intake in role such as cybersecurity, software engineering, and customer service.

Successful candidates will be based across BT Group’s offices in cities including London, Birmingham, Cardiff, Leeds, Manchester, and Sheffield, among others.

This announcement follows BT Group being named the UK’s leading private company for apprentices in 2024, recognising its commitment to talent development. Over the past five years, the company has recruited more than 3,000 apprentices and graduates.

Athalie Williams, Chief Human Resources Officer at BT Group, said:  Last year, we recruited around 500 apprentices and graduates, all eager to learn, develop their skills, and help deliver better experiences for our customers.”

In 2023, BT Group launched its Apprenticeship Fund to support SMEs, charities, and public sector organisations across England. The initiative, delivered in partnership with apprenticeship training provider Babington, offers up to £4 million in funding over four years to help businesses invest in talent. Organisations interested in accessing the fund can register via the BT Group Apprenticeship Fund Portal.

Jacqui Smith, Minister for Skills, commented: *”BT Group’s ongoing investment in apprenticeships is a vital contribution to the UK’s skills development landscape.”*

Earlier this week, Virgin Media O2 also announced plans to recruit 6,090 apprentices.
