European accessories distributor Frequency Telecom has struck deals with Tesco and Amazon to sell the Rubik’s SoundCube.

Tesco will make it available online and through selected stores, while Amazon will be selling it through its online stores in the UK, France and Germany.

The device (pictured) is made by the same company that produces the world’s best selling toy, the Rubik’s Cube, which has sales of 350 million globally.

The SoundCube features five different light shows that flash to music played off their mobile, tablet or MP3 player via Bluetooth.

The device has battery life of six hours playback time and comes with a built-in rechargeable battery.

It is fully compatible with devices such as the Apple iPhone and iPad, as well as those from Samsung, Google Nexus and HTC, costing £29.99/€39.99.

Rubik’s marketing manager Hayley Woodward said: “It is essential that we choose the right distributions partner for Rubik’s; one that understands the brand and has the customer contacts necessary to make the impact we require.

“Frequency’s experience in both the mobile and audio industries made them the perfect partner.”
