Retailer joins Carphone Warehouse in revealing new handset has broken pre-order records as it goes on sale today
Phones 4U has said that the Samsung Galaxy S III was its most pre-ordered handset of all time.
It follows Carphone Warehouse’s announcement last week that the smartphone was its fastest selling pre-order of 2012.
A Samsung branded store within the Phones 4Ushop at Westfirld Stratford City will open tomorrow (May 31). This will be followed by another within the Phones 4U outlet at Westfield London.
Phones 4U chief commercial officer Scott Hooton said: “The interest in the Galaxy S III has been absolutely phenomenal and pre-orders outnumbered that of any other handset – making it our most pre-ordered handset of all time.
“We are delighted the phone has now gone on sale, and very pleased that we can offer our customers a full Samsung experience, both at our Samsung Zones in our Oxford Street, Westfield Stratford and White City stores, and as the official UK retail partner of the Samsung Mobile PIN pop-up experiences, opening across London this summer.”
