Customers given the chance to try the new handset before its release at the retailer’s flagship store on Oxford Street
Carphone Warehouse has set up a pop-up internet cafe with computers replaced by Galaxy S III handsets at its flagship store at 272-274 Oxford Street. It comes before the official release of the handset tomorrow.
Customers are being given the chance to demonstrate the Galaxy S III, with ice cream sandwiches being eaten in celebration of the Android operating system used on the handset.
The cafe, which began at 10am yesterday morning and runs until 4pm tomorrow afternoon, sees one customer win a Galaxy S III handset each day.
Customers that have pre-ordered the handset can collect it in-store from 7pm today. It will be available for free on all major networks from £36 a month.
