Latest addition to Samsung’s Galaxy portfolio to be made available to customers the evening before the official release date
Retail partners of the Samsung Galaxy S III are being given the opportunity to make the handset available for in-store collection from 7pm the evening before its official release on May 30.
The early release is only for pre-order customers and is at the discretion of individual retail partners. Customers who have ordered from the manufacturer’s London Westfield Stratford City store can collect their handset an hour earlier at 6pm.
Samsung UK vice president for Telecommunications and Networks Simon Stanford said: “We’ve had an overwhelming response from our retail partners and customers alike since announcing the Galaxy S III on May 3. So we wanted to delight our customers and reward them for pre-ordering by letting them have their device a day before anyone else.”
