Trackimo devices use GPS and mobile technology to track luggage, pets, vehicles or other personal items
Tech Data Mobile has made GPS technology from US-based location services company Trackimo available to UK resellers.
Trackimo’s range of personal trackers use a combination of GPS chips and a SIM-card to allow users to track personal devices such as luggage, pets or vehicles, with no monthly fee or cost for data roaming.
The Universal Trackimo fits into the palm of the hand and has an SRP of £74.99, including one year of global services, and is water resistant with a three day battery life. It is available from Tech Data from today (September 29).
Tech Data Mobile vendor director David Brassington said that the Trackimo device has the potential to open up a whole new area of business for retailers and resellers. “This is a unique and very smart piece of technology,” he added.
