Visits to retailer’s iPhone pre-registration website surges and is also up by 28 per cent on the iPhone 6
Carphone Warehouse has seen interest in the iPhone 7 since the 24 hours of its announcement increase by almost three quarters compared to last year’s 6s.
The retailer revealed that visits to its iPhone pre-registration website increased by 71 per cent from the iPhone 6s announcement last year.
This is also up by more than a quarter (28 per cent) on the iPhone 6 two years ago.
Carphone Warehouse general manager Aman Bhachu said enthusiasm for the new iPhone “appears to be at an all-time high”.
The iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus were unveiled on Wednesday, with pre-orders in the UK opening today.
They will go on sale at all major mobile retailers and operators from September 16.
