Case manufacturer claims its cases can increase drop protection by up to 50 per cent
Case manufacturer tech21 has launched a new line of cases and screen shields for the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus, claiming the line offers the best impact protection.
The new cases for the devices use an all-new three layer impact absorption system, coupled with FlexShock. A scientifically proven material to dissipate impact force. Certain cases in the range can survive from a 2-3m drop.
Tech21 claims with its technology, cases can be slim while increasing drop protection by 50 per cent. Due to the design of the cases, there is no loss in mobile signal, Wi-Fi interference and Bluetooth syncing.
They will be available directly from tech21, and retailers such as Apple, John Lewis, EE, O2, Three and Stormfront.
Tech21 CEO Jason Roberts said: “Mobile phones have become lifelines for personal and business use, so our mission is to ensure your phone has the best possible protection to keep it safe from everything life can throw at it.”
Apple are using the same ion strengthened glass from the iPhone 6s, on the iPhone 7. The iPhone 7 sees an upgrade to the camera, adopting a dual-camera system, with a unique telephoto lens.
Interest in the iPhone 7 has noticeably dropped. Queues for the Covent Garden branch were smaller than last year, even with the Regent Street branch closed for refurbishment.
Sales have also been down with figures from analyst IDC stating Apple’s global smartphone market share had slipped from 13.9 per cent to 11.8 percent over the past 12 months.
